This Mossberg Model 500A is a U.S.-made 12 gauge pump-action shotgun set up with several installed aftermarket-style features, including a Choate Tool marked folding stock with pistol grip, a pistol-grip-style fore-end with front foregrip, and a perforated heat-shield-style barrel shroud. It has a 20" barrel, a 7+1 capacity, and is chambered for both 2 3/4" and 3" shells.

The receiver is marked "Mossberg" and "MADE IN U.S.A." with "NORTH HAVEN, CONN." and "500A 12 GA." Additional barrel marking text includes "12 GA. - CHAMBERED FOR 2 3/4" AND 3" - U.S.A." and a visible safety warning line beginning with "WARNING BEFORE USE, READ OWNER'S GUIDE FOR SAFE OPERATION ...".
This shotgun is configured with a folding stock that uses metal arms with a polymer overmold, paired with a polymer pistol grip that is Choate Tool marked. Up front, it has a pistol-grip-style fore-end with the front foregrip installed, giving the forend a more vertical, grip-forward shape.
The barrel is fitted with a perforated heat-shield-style shroud, and the shotgun uses a simple front bead sight with a brass bead. The safety is a top-mounted tang safety, consistent with the Model 500 layout.
It also includes an under-barrel tubular magazine with a knurled end cap. Front and rear sling attachment points/loops are present on the gun.
