This Mod. 6 uses a spring-piston, over-lever action with DIANA’s recoilless Giss contra-piston system. The paired pistons move in opposite directions at the shot to counteract impulse, keeping the sight picture stable for precise aiming.
The pistol is single-shot in .177 caliber (4.5mm) with a 7.1 inch barrel. It is equipped with iron sights: a fixed front post and a micro-click adjustable rear notch for fine windage and elevation tuning.
Construction includes a blued steel cylinder/tube and a separate black frame housing. The anatomical wooden target grip features an adjustable palm shelf to tailor hand fit and support.
Markings include the DIANA logo and Mod. 6 legend. The German F-in-pentagon proof indicates a sub-7.5 joule configuration intended for the German market. Made in Germany, this post-1970 example represents DIANA’s dedicated target pistol engineering.
