The SR9 uses a striker-fired, short-recoil, locked-breech action and is set up with practical safety and status features. This pistol has a frame-mounted manual safety with a red safe/fire indicator, a blade-style trigger safety, and a loaded chamber indicator.
Up top, the slide features rear serrations and a brushed stainless/silver finish, along with slide warning text and the loaded chamber indicator. Controls include slide stop/release levers visible on both sides.
Sight configuration is a 3-dot setup with a dovetailed front sight and an adjustable rear sight, making it easy to fine-tune point of impact. The rear sight shows two white dots.
The black polymer frame includes a molded, textured grip frame with a Ruger emblem medallion, and it is equipped with an integral accessory rail under the dust cover.
