Built on a bullpup platform, the M&P 12 keeps a 19.5 inch barrel in a compact overall layout while retaining a full-size 14.5 length of pull. It is chambered for 3 inch 12 gauge shells and is marked for SAFE/FIRE on its manual safety.
This shotgun uses dual independent tubular magazine tubes, and the case label notes a stated maximum capacity of 14+1. The receiver markings include "SMITH & WESSON / SPRINGFIELD, MA / MADE IN U.S.A." on the right-side marking block.
