A.H. Fox Sterlingworth Philadelphia-Marked 12 Gauge Side-by-Side Shotgun with 28 Inch Barrels
This A.H. Fox Gun Co. Sterlingworth is a Philadelphia-marked, USA-made 12 gauge side-by-side built on a hammerless break-open action with double triggers and a tang-mounted safety marked "SAFE." It is marked "STERLINGWORTH" on both sides of the receiver, and the top rib is marked "STERLINGWORTH FLUID COMPRESSED STEEL" along with the Philadelphia, PA maker address. Notable features include fluid compressed steel barrels, a matted rib, and a Pachmayr-branded ventilated recoil pad.

Built as a classic 2-round side-by-side, this Sterlingworth uses a top-lever, break-open (internal hammer) action with a visible single-piece extractor at the breech. No ejector operation is shown.
The 28 inch barrels are marked for "FLUID COMPRESSED STEEL" and are paired with a matted rib and a small brass-colored bead front sight at the muzzle. The barrel rib also bears the "MADE BY A.H. FOX GUN CO. PHILA. PA.
U.S.A." marking.
Controls and handling features include double triggers and a tang-mounted safety with a clear "SAFE" marking. The shotgun is fitted with a pistol-grip stock.
This example also includes an aftermarket Pachmayr-branded ventilated recoil pad, and the stated length of pull is 13 to 14 inches. Serial numbers are present on the receiver/water table area and on the trigger-guard tang (number not repeated here).
