This P229 Legion is a compact 9mm DA/SA pistol built with the Legion series enhancements and a matte Legion finish. This non-R2 Legion variant has no optic cut and comes with four 15-round magazines and original SIG Legion package materials.

The Legion treatment delivers practical upgrades on a proven compact platform. This P229 combines a stainless slide with an aluminum-alloy frame and a matte Legion-series finish, providing a refined look with durable materials. Legion chevron medallions on the textured grip panels and the LEGION wordmark on the slide identify the series.
Controls are duty-focused: DA/SA hammer-fired action with a decocker, a short-reset trigger, and a reversible magazine release. The spurred, exposed hammer and pronounced front and rear slide serrations support confident manipulation.
Ergonomics are enhanced by an extended beavertail, an X-Five-style undercut, and checkering on the front strap and under the trigger guard. These Legion-specific touches help the pistol sit lower in the hand and promote consistent control.
Sight picture is fast and clear with fixed tritium night sights: a high-visibility green ring tritium front and a serrated-face tritium rear. The integral multi-slot accessory rail is machined into the frame for mounting compatible accessories as needed.
This non-R2 Legion variant has no optic cut, aligning with the classic P229 slide profile. Marked with the factory part number E29R-9-LEGION and a model label dated 25-SEP-2021, it is a recoil-operated, locked-breech P229 made in the United States. Capacity is 15+1 with the included four magazines.
