The FNX-45 Tactical is built around a polymer frame with a black finish and a black slide with front and rear serrations. Up front, it includes a MIL-STD-1913/Picatinny-style accessory rail on the dustcover for mounting compatible accessories.
This example is chambered in .45 ACP with a 15+1 capacity, and it comes with two 15-round factory magazines. The 5.4" cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel is threaded with a .578x28 TPI pattern.
For sighting, it is equipped with suppressor-height iron sights with a tall, square-profile front sight and a tall, square-profile rear sight. The slide-top cover plate is a rectangular optics cover plate secured by two screws and is intended for use with optional electronic sight mounting components.
Controls are set up for DA/SA operation with an exposed hammer, plus an ambidextrous manual safety and a decocker. The included interchangeable backstraps provide grip fit options while keeping the pistol in its FNX-series full-size configuration.
