The NRCH configuration provides non-reciprocating, ambidextrous charging handles that keep the shooter’s support side in control while the action cycles. An ambidextrous safety selector with clearly marked "S" and "1" positions complements the short-stroke gas piston system for reliable operation and intuitive handling.
The 20-inch heavy-profile barrel is marked "MP 7.62x51MM 1:10" and is fitted with a two-chamber muzzle brake on its threaded muzzle. The 1:10 twist rate supports 7.62 NATO loads well, and the bore condition is excellent, reflecting clean, sharp rifling throughout.
An extended monolithic upper/handguard provides a rigid interface with MIL-STD-1913 rails. The top rail is T-marked (approximately T15–T49) for repeatable accessory placement, with additional rail sections at 3 and 6 o’clock for ancillary equipment.
The precision stock offers tool-less comb and length-of-pull adjustment, a bottom bag rider/accessory rail, and a thick recoil pad. A rubberized, finger-grooved pistol grip enhances control. The rifle uses an aluminum upper and polymer lower receiver in a uniform black finish, and is clearly roll-marked "FN COLUMBIA, SC USA" and "SCAR 20S MULTI-CALIBER."
