The 7.0 in barrel is cold hammer forged from chrome-moly-vanadium steel, chrome lined, and cut in the S2W heavy profile for durability. It uses a pistol-length gas system and a 1:7 twist to stabilize a wide range of .300 BLK loads. Muzzle threads are 5/8x24 and fitted with the Daniel Defense Linear Compensator made from 17-4 PH stainless and finished in salt-bath nitride.
Receivers are 7075-T6 aluminum with a hard-coat anodized black finish. They incorporate M4 feed ramps, a flared magwell, and a rear QD point. Up top is a continuous T-marked Picatinny rail, while the free-float Daniel Defense MFR XL 6.0 M-LOK handguard (6061-T6 aluminum) provides versatile accessory mounting.
The direct impingement system is supported by an M16-profile bolt carrier group that is chrome lined, magnetic particle tested, and properly staked. Controls include an ambidextrous safety selector and the ambidextrous GRIP-N-RIP charging handle with an anti-gas feature.
The PDW configuration centers on a Maxim Defense CQB brace with an enhanced buffer system, 7075 aluminum housing, and stainless steel guide rods. The collapsing, multi-position design with a rear QD sling socket keeps overall length between 20.75 and 24.75 in while maintaining control and balance. Weight is 5.7 lb and capacity is 30+1. Made in the United States and introduced at SHOT Show 2020.
