Product Description

DWM P.08 Luger Double Date (1920 Over 1916) 9mm Semi-Auto Pistol with Holster, 2 Magazines, and WWII Bring-Back Paperwork

This DWM P.08 Luger is a documented "double date" example with the Weimar-era 1920 property mark stamped over the original 1916 chamber date. It features the DWM monogram on the toggle link, a blued steel frame, and correct period details such as the stock lug, lanyard ring, and two-piece checkered wood grips. Included WWII bring-back paperwork and a Luger-style leather flap holster add clear, verifiable context to this pistol.

Bore Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.

Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.

Specific Condition Notes: This firearm is in solid functional shape. There are scratches and blemishes present. The bore is clean and shiny.

    What’s Included

    • Leather flap holster (Luger-style), with handwritten name/notation inside
    • Bring-back paperwork, including a "CERTIFICATE" dated Sept. 14, 1945 and a "CERTIFICATE OF RETENTION AND CUSTOMS DECLARATION" dated Dec. 1945
    • 2x 8-round Luger magazines with wood base plugs (numbered "1." and "2.")

Marked as a DWM P.08 Luger, this pistol is chambered in 9mm Luger and uses the classic toggle-locked, short-recoil action. The chamber shows the defining double-stamp "1920" over "1916," tying the gun to a WWI production date with a later Weimar-era property mark.

The pistol is finished in blue with a steel frame and steel barrel, and it wears two-piece checkered wood grips. The sights are fixed, with a fixed front blade and a fixed rear notch integral to the rear toggle area.

Details called out on this example include the manual safety with the "GESICHERT" marking, plus a stock lug and lanyard ring on the rear grip frame. Serial number 116 is visible on the frame and on the underside of the barrel, with partial "16" markings noted on small parts and grips.

German markings and stamps include "MADE IN GERMANY," an eagle-style proof stamp, and multiple German proof/acceptance stamps on the right side of the barrel/receiver area (not fully legible). The underside of the barrel is marked "8,82" (bore/measurement marking). The included holster has handwritten interior notes, and the bring-back paperwork provides period documentation dated in 1945.
