Made in Spain and bearing Spanish proof symbols, this CVA-branded Plains pistol carries the Eibar-style proof legend 700 Kp/cm² N°2. The barrel is roll-marked Black Powder Only .50 Caliber, confirming its traditional black powder configuration.
The 6 in octagonal steel barrel uses a single transverse wedge and a hooked breech, allowing quick removal for maintenance. A dovetailed brass blade front sight is fitted, and the pistol is configured without a rear sight, consistent with the pattern.
Ignition is via a side drum and nipple with a single trigger. The hammer has a serpentine profile, and the lockplate and hammer show a mottled color-case-type appearance with light scroll engraving on the lockplate panels.
