This TALO distributor exclusive is part of the Wiley Clapp series, identifiable by the WCA serial suffix. It was manufactured in 2014 under Colt part number O4840WC. The configuration centers on a Commander-length 4.25-inch National Match barrel with an 'N.M.' marked hood, delivering Colt's match-fit barrel spec in a carry-length 1911.
The pistol uses a Series 70-style firing system with no firing-pin safety, and it retains the classic 1911 operating method: single-action, short-recoil, locked-breech. Capacity is 7+1 in .45 ACP, and the package includes one factory steel magazine.
Construction and finish details include a blued slide over a black anodized aluminum alloy frame, creating a clean two-tone appearance. The slide features both front and rear cocking serrations. Controls and internals reflect the Wiley Clapp spec, including a rowel (Commander) hammer, a long solid trigger, a single-side thumb safety, and a beavertail grip safety.
Ergonomics are optimized with Novak Lo-Mount rear sights (extra-wide notch) and a dovetailed brass-bead front sight for a fast, high-contrast sight picture. The front strap is checkered 25 LPI by Pete Single, the trigger guard is deeply undercut, and the magazine well is internally beveled to aid reloads. Laminate grips with Tactical Oval texturing and Colt medallions complete the handling package.
