Built on the 1911 platform, this pistol uses a single-action, hammer-fired system and is equipped with both a grip safety and a thumb safety. The frame is marked "LES BAER CUSTOM" and "HILLSDALE, ILL. USA," and the slide is marked "BAER" over "Custom."
The 5 inch match barrel is a key highlight, with the barrel hood marked "BAER 45 MATCH." The pistol also features a lowered/flared ejection port and a skeleton/rowel-style hammer with a commander-style outline.
For control and consistency, it includes checkering on the front strap and the mainspring housing. The grip safety is a beavertail style with a memory bump, and the thumb safety is an extended left-side lever.
