The 24 inch full-octagon, free-floating steel barrel is crowned and marked on top: "BROWNING MODEL 1885 CALIBER .243 WIN ONLY". The barrel is fitted with a screw-mounted scope block, and the rifle is set up without iron sights from the factory.
Stocked in gloss-finished walnut, the rifle includes a pistol grip, straight comb, schnabel forend, bordered point-pattern checkering, and sling swivel studs. A Browning-marked buttplate completes the traditional configuration, with a 13.25 inch length of pull.
