The 26 inch fluted stainless heavy barrel with a recessed crown and 1:9 twist is paired with a matte stainless receiver, delivering a robust BTCSS configuration in .223 Rem. The barrel is unthreaded and uses Savage's well-known barrel-nut system.
This right-hand bolt-action features a large round bolt knob, a tang safety, and the AccuTrigger. Feeding is via a detachable box magazine with a 4+1 capacity.
The laminated hardwood thumbhole stock includes a raised cheekpiece, a beavertail forend, a vented forend, and sling swivel studs with a satin laminate finish. The length of pull is 13.5. This stock has one eye hole for a sling instead of two.
The receiver is drilled and tapped, and Talley ringmounts are already installed for straightforward scope setup. This rifle is USA-made and corresponds to MFG Part Number 18516.
