It features the TREAD-style free-float M-LOK handguard with engraved graphics, a full-length Picatinny top rail, and an underside Picatinny accessory section for added mounting flexibility. The rear uses a pistol-length buffer tube with an installed Shockwave Technologies Blade pistol stabilizer.

Configured as an AR pistol, this M400 TREAD uses a brace setup with a polymer Shockwave Technologies Blade pistol stabilizer. The brace is marked "Shockwave Technologies / Blade Pistol Stabilizer / Patent Pending / Made in U.S.A."
The upper receiver is marked "SIG SAUER SIGM400," and the lower receiver is marked "SIG SAUER INC NEWINGTON NH, USA." It also includes an A2-style ejection port cover.
Up front, the 11in barrel is threaded and fitted with a flash hider. The free-float M-LOK handguard supports accessory mounting while keeping the barrel free of contact, and the full-length top Picatinny rail provides a continuous mounting surface along the upper.
This pistol ships with three Magpul PMAG Gen M3 30-round magazines and is listed with a 30+1 capacity.
