The 16.1" alloy steel barrel is cold hammer-forged and threaded 1/2"-28 with a thread protector installed. A 1:8 right-hand twist and five-groove rifling support a wide range of 5.56 NATO loads. The barrel and receiver wear a durable matte finish.
The action uses a three-lug bolt with a 70° lift for ample scope clearance and quick cycling. Ruger’s Marksman Adjustable trigger allows user adjustment to suit preference, and the Ruger Power Bedding system positively locates the receiver in the stock.
The Flat Dark Earth synthetic stock includes a soft recoil pad, molded grip and fore-end texturing for secure handling, and integral sling swivel studs. The rifle accepts AR-15 pattern magazines; capacity is 5+1 with the included 5-round magazine.
