The revolver is configured with a traditional DA/SA action and an exposed spur hammer. Sighting is fixed, with a ramp-style front sight and an integral notch rear sight cut into the topstrap.
It wears a dark blued/black oxide finish and checkered hardwood grips with inlaid Taurus medallions. The Taurus bull emblem is present on the left side of the frame, and the crane/yoke is marked "80."
