Built as a centennial commemorative (1870–1970), this Model 39 includes a gold-tone centennial medallion on the right side of the receiver and an oval brass plaque in the left buttstock engraved '39 Century Ltd • Marlin • 1870–1970'. The barrel is roll-marked 'Marlin 39 Century Ltd' and the caliber marking reads '22 S, L & LR'.
The rifle is constructed with a 20-inch octagon blued-steel barrel and a blued finish throughout. It wears a straight-grip American walnut stock and smooth walnut forend, complemented by brass furniture including the fore-end cap and crescent-style buttplate. A gold-colored trigger completes the commemorative look.
