The VGL Lightweight Carbine pairs a compact 20-inch barrel with a light sporter profile and recessed crown, delivering a handy field length while maintaining Weatherby’s Vanguard action. The barrel is correctly marked "USE ONLY .270 WIN." and remains unthreaded, with no iron sights.
The receiver is factory drilled and tapped and fitted with a Leupold one-piece scope base, providing a solid foundation for the optic of your choice. Receiver markings include "PAT. PEND." and "VANGUARD."
Its green textured synthetic Monte Carlo stock features a right-hand cheekpiece for a consistent cheek weld, along with sling swivel studs and a black recoil pad with a spacer line. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
This full-size, bolt-action .270 Win uses an internal 3+1 magazine and a two-position safety. Made in Japan and stamped "MADE IN JAPAN," it represents the discontinued VGL configuration, which adds context and appeal for Weatherby enthusiasts.
