Built around a stainless steel barrel and stainless receiver with a matte/satin, silver-toned finish, this 1895TSBL keeps a consistent stainless look across the major metal components. The side-eject, solid-top receiver layout includes a visible right-side ejection port.
This rifle is configured with iron sights: a fixed blade/post front sight on a ramped base and a Skinner "TRAPPER" aperture/peep-style rear sight mounted at the receiver/top base. The cross-bolt safety is present, and the lever-action system uses a large-loop lever.
The furniture is a black-finished textured buttstock and forend with a rubber buttpad and a 13.5 length of pull. A rear sling swivel stud is installed on the underside of the buttstock.
Markings include the "1895TSBL" model marking, the "CAL. 45/70 GOVT." barrel marking, and an Ilion, New York barrel address marking. The receiver serial has an adjacent 2D matrix-style mark.
