Built by FN in Belgium, this Sweet Sixteen features the classic Auto-5 long-recoil action in 16 gauge with a 2 3/4 inch (16-70) chamber. The 28 inch plain steel barrel carries the Browning asterisk code "**" indicating a fixed Modified choke and uses a single front bead for a clean sight picture.
The receiver shows factory scroll engraving and the signature humpback profile with a matted/serrated top. Belgian Liège proofmarks are present along with "MADE IN BELGIUM" and the barrel address "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY ST LOUIS Mo. & MONTREAL P.Q." consistent with the mid-1960s import era.
Controls and features include the left-side magazine cut-off lever, a gold-colored trigger, and a tubular magazine with 4+1 capacity. The stock set is walnut with a checkered pistol grip and a matching walnut forend, all finished to complement the blued metalwork.
