- Weatherby Mark V Deluxe .460 Weatherby Magnum rifle
Built between 1984 and 1986 by Howa in Japan, this Mark V Deluxe carries the South Gate, Calif. Made in Japan marking and the U.S. Patent No. 3,013,355 stamp. It uses Weatherby’s Mark V action with a bright fluted bolt body and a swept bolt handle, feeding from an internal 2+1 magazine.
The 26-inch heavy sporter-contour barrel is unthreaded with a clean crown. Factory express-style sights include a ramped front sight base without a hood and a multi-leaf express rear barrel sight, giving a fast, rugged sighting setup for the .460 Weatherby Magnum chambering.
The high-gloss walnut Monte Carlo stock features skip-line checkering, a rosewood forend tip, and a rosewood pistol-grip cap with a white diamond inlay. A ventilated recoil pad with white-line spacers and installed sling swivel studs complete the classic Deluxe presentation. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches.
The metalwork wears a polished blued finish, including the receiver. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts, with filler screws installed from the factory, preserving a clean top profile when sights are in use.
