What’s Included
- Marlin Original Golden Model 39A .22 LR lever-action rifle
Built in the 1970s, this Original Golden-39A pairs a 24-inch round steel barrel with Marlin’s Micro-Groove rifling for the model’s signature .22 LR performance. The barrel is JM-stamped at the shank and marked with the North Haven, Conn. address and "ORIGINAL GOLDEN-39A."
The blued, solid-top steel receiver is drilled and tapped for scope bases (two top holes visible), and the rifle retains its pre-safety configuration with no cross-bolt safety. Sighting is classic and practical: a hooded ramp front sight and an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear with elevator.
A full-length tubular magazine with a removable inner tube, knurled end cap, and side loading port provides a stated 19+1 capacity. The lever is standard size, and the trigger is gold-colored, as correct for the Original Golden series.
The walnut pistol-grip stock includes a grip cap and white-line spacers, the inletted Marlin bullseye stock plug, and a black Marlin buttplate with a white-line spacer. Factory sling swivel studs are installed, and length of pull measures 13.5 inches. The rifle wears a uniform blued finish on barrel and receiver.
