What’s Included
- Smith & Wesson Performance Center factory hard case
- Performance Center barrel weight modules (installed in shroud)
The Performance Center Competitor variant of the Model 686-6 is built on the stainless L-Frame with a round-butt grip profile and a 6-shot fluted cylinder. Chambered in .357 Magnum, it offers DA/SA operation with an internal key lock for storage security.
Its 6-inch barrel uses a full-length, weighted shroud with user-adjustable weight modules so the shooter can tune the balance to preference. The matte bead-blast stainless finish is applied across the frame, cylinder, and barrel for a uniform, low-glare appearance.
Sighting equipment is set up for precision: a black Patridge front blade in a dovetail and a fully adjustable rear sight. An integral full-length Picatinny top rail runs the length of the shroud for direct mounting on the revolver.
Performance Center action work includes a smooth, wide chrome trigger with an adjustable trigger stop and a chrome hammer with a checkered spur. The action is tuned for refined DA and SA operation.
Identification features include a yoke cut marked 686-6 and a case label noting SKU 170319 with a matching serial. This revolver was made in the United States and is presented with its Performance Center case and the installed weight system.
