The first-generation "Classic" one-piece polymer stock defines this Model 995, featuring an integral pistol grip, integral sling loops, and a polymer buttplate. The black finish throughout presents a cohesive, utilitarian look consistent with the original configuration.
The 16.9 in steel barrel sits within a vented barrel shroud fore-end. Iron sights consist of a hooded front post paired with an adjustable rear peep, providing a straightforward sight picture for the 9mm Luger chambering.
The action is semi-automatic, straight blowback, with a right-side charging handle and a right-side ejection port. A manual safety is present, and the lever features a red index dot for clear visual status.
On top of the receiver is a short accessory rail with three cross-slots. Receiver markings read "MODEL 995" and "HI-POINT FIREARMS by BEEMILLER INC., Mansfield, OH," and the caliber marking is 9mm x 19. Length of pull is 15.5 in. Capacity is 10+1, and three 10-round magazines are included.
