The SOCOM II configuration integrates the VLTOR Cluster Rail, delivering a continuous top Picatinny rail that spans the receiver and handguard, plus side and bottom rails for accessory mounting. This factory setup provides robust rail space on a compact 16.25 inch platform and is a defining feature of this model.
The barrel is carbon steel with 6-groove rifling and a 1:11 RH twist, capped by the proprietary short cylindrical SOCOM muzzle brake. The rifle uses a gas-operated, short-stroke piston system with a rotating bolt, paired with a two-stage trigger. Capacity is 20+1.
Sights are classic M1A style: a protected front post mounted on the gas block and an adjustable aperture (ghost-ring) rear sight with windage and elevation knobs. The black synthetic stock is GI-style, fixed, and textured, with a sling swivel and a 13.0 inch length of pull.
The receiver is steel with a parkerized finish, and the handguard is aluminum. Overall length is approximately 37.25 inches with an unloaded weight of about 10 lbs. This SOCOM II variant is discontinued and includes one 20-round steel magazine.
