What’s Included
- Carl Gustav Gevär m/96 bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.5x55 Swedish
- Under-barrel cleaning rod
Manufactured in Sweden in 1904, this m/96 carries the crowned C over "CARL GUSTAFS STADS GEVARSFAKTORI 1904" legend on the receiver ring. The barrel is import-marked "CAI ST. ALB VT M96 SWEDEN 6.5 X 55," noting Century Arms International, St. Albans VT, as the importer.
Built on the small-ring Mauser action, it includes a charger/clip guide for loading the 5+1 internal magazine. The bolt has a straight handle with a polished in-the-white body, and the rifle retains the three-position wing safety.
The 29.1 in barrel is paired with a tangent rear sight and an unhooded blade front sight. The bore condition is excellent with sharp rifling, supporting the rifle’s strong shooting pedigree in 6.5x55 Swedish.
The full-length hardwood stock shows classic Swedish features: a grasping groove, brass stock disc, steel buttplate, and bottom sling swivels. It wears two barrel bands and a nose cap with bayonet lug, and the under-barrel cleaning rod is present.
