What’s Included
- Browning BAR Grade I .243 Win semi-automatic rifle
- Detachable box magazine
- Installed scope mount
The rifle uses a gas-operated, rotating-bolt, semi-automatic action chambered in .243 Win. It feeds from a 4+1 capacity detachable box magazine retained by a hinged floorplate, with a 22 inch barrel that balances handling and velocity for this cartridge.
Grade I features include a polished blued receiver and blued metalwork paired with gloss walnut furniture. The checkered stock provides a 14.0 inch length of pull and is fitted with a Browning hard buttplate. Sling swivel studs are factory-installed for easy carry setup.
Sighting equipment consists of open sights with a ramped front bead and a folding rear sight. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope bases, and this example has a scope mount installed for immediate optic attachment if desired.
Made in Portugal, the rifle bears barrel markings "BAR CALIBER .243 ONLY" over "BROWNING PATENTS." The serial suffix "M77" at the receiver/barrel juncture aligns with its 1977 manufacture date, adding clear period context to this example.
