This Chinese Type 56 SKS was produced at Jianshe Arsenal (Factory 26) in 1980 and carries the triangle 26 marks and Chinese "五六式" legend. It retains the milled steel receiver, blued finish, and in-the-white bolt and carrier, with an aftermarket ribbed polymer upper handguard and a hardwood stock finished in reddish shellac.

Produced by Jianshe Arsenal (Factory 26), this rifle bears the triangle 26 arsenal mark and Chinese "五六式" designation, with an additional triangle 26 cartouche on the left side of the stock. It is a Norinco export and is import-marked "SKS 7.62X39 MADE IN CHINA BY NORINCO CSI ONT CA." An importer-added prefix is present on the serial, and the last five digits are observed matching across major components.
The rifle follows the Type 56 SKS pattern with a semi-automatic, short-stroke gas piston system and tilting-bolt action. It features a milled steel receiver with a blued finish and an in-the-white bolt and bolt carrier. The barrel measures 20.5 inches, and the rifle feeds from a fixed internal 10-round magazine. The charging handle is round and knurled.
Sighting is via iron sights with a hooded front post and a tangent rear sight leaf that includes the "III" battlesight notch and graduations from 1 to 10. An integral folding spike bayonet is installed, consistent with the Type 56 configuration.
