This New Frontier .22 is a dual-cylinder convertible, supplied with both a fluted .22 LR cylinder and a non-fluted .22 WMR cylinder. Each cylinder is six-shot steel, with the .22 WMR cylinder clearly marked "22 MAG" for easy identification.
The revolver pairs a blued steel barrel and cylinders with a color case-hardened steel frame for a classic Colt finish combination. It uses an aluminum alloy one-piece grip frame to complete the traditional Single Action styling while keeping weight balanced.
Its flattop frame carries a fully adjustable square-notch rear sight and a ramped, serrated front sight, giving the shooter a clear sight picture. The 6 inch barrel supports precise shooting, and the action is single-action only.
Factory black checkered hard-rubber "American Eagle" grips with Rampant Colt medallions provide a period-correct look and a secure hold. A small floral scroll engraving on the buttstrap adds a tasteful decorative element without overwhelming the firearm’s clean lines.
Made in the United States in 1976, this G-series Colt represents 1970s production of the New Frontier .22 line and includes its Colt woodgrain box with matching end label, paperwork, and sight tool.
