The 5.0 in Island Comp barrel integrates the compensator with an island-mounted fiber-optic front sight, keeping the sight fixed to the barrel/comp unit. This configuration maintains a consistent front sight reference during slide movement and pairs with tri-top lightening cuts on the slide.
The DPO system arrives with the optic plate installed and the rear sight integrated into the plate. The DPO ecosystem supports plates for popular footprints including Trijicon RMR/SRO, Leupold DPP, Holosun 509T, and Aimpoint ACRO, providing a straightforward path to mounting compatible optics.
Built on a modular 2011-style steel frame with a textured Staccato G2-style polymer grip module, the XC includes an ambidextrous thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety. The skeletonized, single-action trigger is set around 2.5 lb for a crisp break.
The pistol features a DLC-finished 4140 steel frame and DLC slide, a full-length dustcover with an accessory rail, and the Dawson Precision 5.0 in tool-less guide-rod system for easy maintenance. A flared magwell speeds reloads with both extended and standard-length magazines.
