Built on the FN commercial Mauser 98 long action, this rifle offers controlled-round feed and cock-on-opening operation. The right-hand bolt has a turned-down handle with a knurled knob for a confident grasp. The bolt body is left in the white, contrasting with the blued barrel and receiver.
The rifle is chambered in .30-06 and uses an internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate for a 5+1 capacity. Its 22 inch steel barrel is matched to a robust steel receiver, combining classic Mauser reliability with a clean sporting profile. This example was made in Belgium and bears appropriate Belgian proof marks.
The walnut Monte Carlo stock features a right-hand cheekpiece, a contrasting forend tip, and a pistol-grip cap, each set off with white-line spacers. Sling-swivel studs are installed, and a ventilated Pachmayr White Line recoil pad completes the setup. Length of pull is 13.0 inches.
