This Norinco Hunter is a post-1989 import-compliant, AK-pattern sporting rifle chambered in 7.62x39. It features a 20-inch barrel with an unthreaded, plain-crown muzzle, hardwood Monte Carlo furniture with checkering and a cheek swell, and a rear open notch sight positioned at the back of the receiver cover. The steel receiver bears factory code 386 and includes three factory drilled and tapped holes on the left side for a detachable side scope base. One 10-round steel magazine is included.

Built on the AK-pattern long-stroke gas system with a rotating bolt, the Hunter retains familiar right-side controls, including the charging handle and safety/selector lever. The sighting setup uses an adjustable front post and a rear open notch placed at the rear of the receiver cover.
The 20-inch barrel ends with an unthreaded muzzle and plain crown, aligning with its import-compliant sporting configuration. Capacity is 10+1 with the included detachable 10-round steel box magazine.
The sporter-style hardwood furniture includes a Monte Carlo stock with a cheek swell, machine-cut checkering, and a ventilated rubber recoil pad, paired with a long fore-end. Length of pull is 14.0 inches, and a rear sling swivel is installed.
Markings and origin are clearly identified: MADE IN CHINA with the Norinco star logo and factory oval 386, along with CAL 7.62x39MM and SEMI-AUTO on the steel receiver. The left side of the receiver has three factory drilled and tapped holes for a detachable side scope base.
