The RAS47 follows the AKM pattern with a stamped 4140 steel receiver treated in a black nitride finish. It uses a long-stroke gas piston system with a 90-degree gas block and a vented gas tube, and it features a left-side optics rail on the receiver.
The 16.5-inch barrel is 4150 chrome-moly steel with a nitride treatment for durability. It is threaded 14x1 LH and fitted with a slant brake, and it has a 1:10 twist. The bore condition is excellent with sharp rifling.
Controls and furniture include the RAK-1 trigger, a manual safety lever, a fixed wood stock with a rear sling swivel, and a two-piece wood handguard with a palm swell. The pistol grip is a black textured polymer design with finger grooves.
Sights are AKM pattern iron sights with a protected front post and an adjustable rear tangent. The rifle accepts standard double-stack AK magazines and has a capacity of 30+1. Two 30-round Magpul PMAGs are included. The cleaning rod is not present.
This Red Army Standard series rifle is U.S.-made and full-size with a 13.0-inch length of pull. Its combination of nitride-treated barrel and receiver, AKM-standard features, and included magazines make it a capable, ready-to-use example from the discontinued RAS47 line.
