The Mark II F uses a carbon-steel, 21-inch sporter-profile barrel with a matte blued finish and an unthreaded muzzle. The receiver is also carbon steel with a matching matte blued finish and is drilled and tapped for scope bases.
The rifle is equipped with open iron sights: a front post and an adjustable rear leaf. The twist rate is 1:16" right-hand, and the length of pull measures 13.0 inches.
The black synthetic stock features molded checkering and integral sling swivel studs. The buttplate is molded with the "Savage" logo for a clean, factory look.
Controls include a manual sliding safety with a red fire indicator and a smooth curved trigger without the AccuTrigger blade. The bolt is a right-hand turn design with a round knob and an external cocking indicator.
