Built at a Chinese state arsenal and marked with the Triangle 636 code, this Type 56 SKS carries correct receiver markings, including the Chinese characters "五六式" and English "SKS 7.62 x 39." The bolt and bolt carrier are left in the white, contrasting with the rifle’s blued finish.
The classic SKS layout is intact, featuring a fixed 10-round internal magazine with a hinged floorplate and the correct triangular side-folding spike bayonet. A sling swivel is fitted at the butt. Matching assembly numbers are observed on the bolt carrier, magazine floorplate, trigger guard, and buttstock.
Sighting equipment includes a hooded front post and a tangent rear leaf graduated to 1000 m. The stock is hardwood with a reinforcing crossbolt, and the upper handguard is wood with ventilation slots. Length of pull is approximately 13.5 inches with the added recoil pad.
The rifle uses a semi-automatic, short-stroke gas piston system with a tilting bolt. A receiver-cover scope mount with an integral rail is installed, providing a stable mounting surface while keeping the rifle’s original profile and controls accessible.
