Made in Belgium by Fabrique Nationale, this Magnum Twenty variant uses Browning’s long-recoil operating system and the distinctive Auto-5 humpback receiver profile. The receiver includes a magazine cut-off lever on the left side. Capacity is 5+1 with 20-gauge 3-inch shells.
The 28-inch barrel is marked SPECIAL STEEL 20GA. SHELLS - 3" and wears a ventilated rib with fine matting and a single bead front sight. It is a fixed-choke barrel with Belgian star-coded markings and no choke tubes, consistent with original Belgian production.
The blued steel receiver carries Browning’s factory scroll engraving and the J.M. Browning bust medallion. Belgian proofmarks are present on the barrel, along with the BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q. address and MADE IN BELGIUM BY FABRIQUE NATIONALE HERSTAL markings. A gold-colored trigger completes the classic A5 presentation.
Stocking is checkered walnut with a pistol grip and a gloss finish, matched to a walnut finger-groove forend. The butt is fitted with a black FN Automatic hard rubber buttplate. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches.
This 1970s-era example (1976) follows the serial pattern whose X code denotes the 20-gauge Magnum variant, aligning with the Magnum Twenty configuration and 3-inch chambering.
