This Arsenal SGL-21 is a Russian Izhmash/Legion Saiga-based AKM-pattern rifle imported by Arsenal Las Vegas. It is a pre-ban import with a 2009 acceptance mark and clear Russian proof and import stamps. This example is thoughtfully customized with an Ultimak railed gas tube, a VLTOR telescoping stock, and a non-factory muzzle device, while retaining its stamped-steel receiver, long-stroke piston system with cleaning rod, and left-side optics dovetail.

Built on a stamped-steel receiver and chambered in 7.62x39, this SGL-21 follows the proven AKM platform with a semi-automatic, long-stroke gas piston system and a 16.3 inch threaded barrel. It retains the standard iron sight setup with a hooded post front sight and a tangent rear sight and includes the cleaning rod.
Factory receiver features include the left-side optics dovetail, right-side safety lever, and Arsenal Las Vegas import markings. Additional Russian and factory identifiers include SAIGA 7,62x39, LEGION IZHEVSK RUSSIA, the Izhevsk triangle proof, and a 2009 circle '09' cartouche.
This example is customized for versatility while staying true to the platform. Upgrades include an Ultimak railed gas tube as the upper handguard, a VLTOR telescoping polymer stock with adjustable length of pull and QD sling sockets, and a non-factory muzzle brake/compensator. It also wears a ribbed black polymer lower handguard that is U.S.-marked, along with a black polymer AK pistol grip.
As a pre-ban import brought in before the July 2014 U.S. sanctions on Russian small-arms imports, this rifle combines desirable origin, clear markings, and practical enhancements. It accepts detachable box magazines, with a stated capacity of 30+1, and comes with two steel 30-round magazines and a sling.
