The REX Zero 1 S is a full-size 9mm with a DA/SA action, ambidextrous manual safety, and a slide-stop that doubles as a decocker. It can be carried cocked-and-locked or decocked, and its external spurred hammer and mirrored metal controls support confident handling for either mode.
Construction is centered on durability: a cold hammer-forged, nitrocarburized steel barrel, a nitrocarburized steel slide with front and rear cocking serrations, and a hard-anodized T7075 aluminum frame. Full-length slide rails promote consistent lockup, and the integral Picatinny accessory rail on the dustcover provides mounting capability for compatible accessories.
Sights are fixed steel with a 3-dot arrangement, pairing a white-dot front sight with a white-dot rear. The textured black grip panels feature the molded "zero 1" legend for a secure hold and a clean, factory-correct look.
Dimensions are well-balanced for a duty-sized pistol: 4.25 in barrel, 7.6 in overall length, 5.6 in height, and 1.49 in width, with an unloaded weight of approximately 29.3 oz. Capacity is 15+1, and this example includes one 15-round steel magazine with numbered witness holes.
Manufactured in Slovenia and introduced to the U.S. market by FIME Group in 2016 (with importation later shifting to Global Ordnance in 2020), this pistol bears FIMEgroup Las Vegas NV USA and arex SLOVENIA import marks. The design shows influence from the SIG P226 pattern while retaining Arex’s unique control architecture. Matching serial numbers are present on the frame, slide, and barrel.
