This 1947 Winchester Model 70 Pre-64 Standard Rifle in .30-06 features the classic controlled-round-feed action with a full-length claw extractor, a 24 inch Winchester 'Proof Steel' barrel, and factory Winchester oval WP proofs on the receiver and barrel. It retains its walnut stock with cut checkering and steel inletted sling loops, and the receiver is drilled and tapped with two-piece scope bases installed. Condition is very good overall with an excellent, mirror-bright bore.

Built on the pre-64 controlled-round-feed action, this rifle uses a full-length claw extractor and an internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate for a 5+1 capacity. The three-position wing safety provides positive, familiar control for loading and unloading.
The 24 inch round-profile Winchester 'Proof Steel' barrel wears an integral ramped front sight base with a hood groove. The front sight hood is not installed. Factory Winchester oval WP proofs are present on the receiver and barrel.
The walnut stock features a straight comb, pistol grip, and factory cut checkering. Inletted steel sling loops are fitted, and the butt is capped with a checkered steel 'widow's peak' plate. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches.
The receiver is drilled and tapped, and two-piece scope bases are installed. Iron sights are fitted, and the overall configuration reflects the Standard Rifle series from the post-WWII era.
