Built by Fabrique Nationale in Belgium, this Sweet Sixteen shows the correct Liège proofmarks and FN/Liège inspector stamp. The receiver is marked "Sweet Sixteen" and displays factory Browning scroll engraving. Both the receiver top and barrel top are matted to reduce glare, consistent with period production.
The long-recoil Auto-5 action uses an adjustable friction-ring recoil system. This example includes the magazine cutoff lever, cross-bolt safety, and a gold-colored trigger. Capacity is 2+1 as currently configured.
The plain 27.5 inch steel barrel is fitted with a single bead front sight and Modified choke, with a 2 3/4 inch chamber noted on the barrel as "16-70." The barrel carries the "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY ST LOUIS Mo. & MONTREAL P.Q." address.
Stocked in walnut, it has a round-knob pistol grip and a finger-groove forend, with a length of pull measuring 14.25 inches. This configuration aligns with the Sweet Sixteen series features and period-correct appointments.
