What’s Included
- Winchester Model 94 Pre-64 Carbine rifle chambered in .30-30
Manufactured in 1958, this pre-64 Model 94 retains the classic carbine layout with a 20-inch round steel barrel and two barrel bands. The receiver and barrel carry a blued finish, with Winchester oval WP proofs on the barrel and the receiver ring. The left receiver wall is factory drilled and tapped for a receiver sight and currently fitted with plug screws.
The rifle features a full-length tubular magazine with a 6+1 capacity, a right-side loading gate, and open-top ejection. It operates via a lever-action with an external hammer, reflecting the well-known Model 94 mechanism and handling characteristics.
Iron sights include a hooded front blade on a ramped base and a barrel-mounted rear sight with a stepped elevator in the semi-buckhorn style. The barrel is marked "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL," aligning with the period-correct markings and materials noted for this era.
Furniture consists of an uncheckered straight-grip walnut buttstock and matching walnut forend. A steel checkered buttplate is secured by two screws, and the length of pull measures 13.25 inches. This configuration delivers the traditional feel and balance associated with pre-64 carbines.
