The IC-MKII series uses LWRC's short-stroke gas piston with a rotating bolt for clean running and reliable cycling. A monoforge one-piece upper integrates a continuous T-marked top Picatinny rail, and the internal two-position, paddle-actuated adjustable gas block is accessible through the handguard. The nickel-boron coated bolt carrier group complements the design.
The 16 inch cold-hammer-forged, spiral-fluted barrel is black nitride treated and threaded 1/2x28. It features a 1:7 RH twist to stabilize common 5.56mm projectiles. A SureFire SOCOM muzzle brake is installed on the factory threads.
Ergonomics and setup are modern and practical: a free-float M-LOK aluminum handguard with an installed 1913 section at 6 o'clock, LWRCI Skirmish folding sights, and fully ambidextrous controls including the safety, bolt catch/release, magazine release, and charging handle. The collapsible stock offers multiple positions, QD sling mounting, and an adjustable length of pull from 10 to 13.5 inches.
This example is customized with a Geissele SSE-X two-stage trigger and a Geissele Super 42 braided recoil spring paired with an H1 buffer. Receiver and handguard wear an OD Green finish, and markings include "LWRC INTERNATIONAL M6IC" on the lower and "IC-MKII 5.56mm" on the upper with "Made in the U.S.A., Cambridge, MD."
