A hinged top cover with a Picatinny rail segment, accessory rail segments at the rear of the receiver, and included 30-round and 75-round magazines make this a versatile 7.62x39 pistol with notable factory details.

The ZPAP92 is chambered in 7.62x39 and uses a semi-automatic, long-stroke gas piston system with a rotating bolt. The barrel is 10 in, cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined, and factory threaded M26x1.5 left-hand under the conical booster, providing the distinctive M92 format with protected under-booster threads.
Its 1.5 mm stamped steel receiver is paired with a reinforced/bulged front trunnion. The selector lever includes a bolt-hold-open notch, and the bolt carrier has a bright in-the-white finish. The pistol accepts standard AK double-stack magazines, and the listed capacity is 75+1 with the included drum.
Sighting equipment consists of an integral front post on the gas block and a rear notch mounted on the hinged top cover. The top cover incorporates a Picatinny rail segment, and short accessory rail segments are fitted at the rear of the receiver for mounting options.
