Barrel rollmarked "THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. NORTH HAVEN, CT. U.S.A. MOD. 336CS MICRO-GROOVE BARREL CAL 30/30 WIN.", this rifle aligns with 1987 production and the well-regarded North Haven era.
The blued steel build and round 20 inch carbine barrel capture the classic 336 configuration.
The Micro-Groove rifled barrel is chambered in .30-30 Win. and is paired with a full-length tubular magazine for a 5+1 capacity. Two barrel bands secure the barrel and magazine, maintaining the traditional carbine profile.
The side-eject, flat-top steel receiver is drilled and tapped for scope bases with four factory holes. It uses a standard loop lever, a right-side loading gate, and a cross-bolt safety for straightforward operation.
Sights are factory iron: a hooded ramp front and an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear with elevator. The hardwood stock set includes a pistol-grip buttstock with a black grip cap bearing the Marlin medallion, a white-line butt spacer, a smooth fore-end, and sling swivel studs. Length of pull is 13.25 inches.
A screw-on hammer spur/extension is installed. Overall, this is a USA-made 336CS with the features and markings collectors and hunters recognize from this period.
