This Springfield Armory 1911 Ronin AOS pairs a Commander-length 4.25 in. barrel with a compact, lightweight forged aluminum-alloy frame and a hot-salt blued forged carbon-steel slide. It uses Springfield's AOS slide system with a removable plate that integrates the rear sight, and it comes in a clean two-tone finish with practical fiber-optic/serrated sights. The pistol includes one 8-round and two 7-round magazines and a Springfield Armory soft case.

The Ronin AOS configuration features a forged stainless steel, match-grade, fully supported, ramped barrel mated to a forged carbon-steel slide with rear cocking serrations. The frame is a forged aluminum alloy finished in satin aluminum Cerakote, delivering the classic Ronin two-tone look with reduced carry weight and a non-railed profile.
Springfield's AOS slide uses a removable plate that integrates the black, serrated square-notch rear sight, paired with a green fiber-optic front. This setup provides a clear sight picture out of the box while preserving the AOS plate interface for future mounting within the AOS system.
The recoil system retains the 1911's GI-style bushing with a short guide rod and a checkered recoil spring plug. A flat, checkered mainspring housing and smooth front strap complement the checkered wood-laminate grip panels bearing the Springfield Armory crossed-cannon emblem.
Controls and fire-control components include a single-action operation with a skeletonized, long 3-hole trigger and a skeletonized hammer, plus a manual thumb safety and grip safety. Capacity is 8+1 in .45 ACP, and the pistol is built in the USA. This example is the PX9118LAOS submodel in the Ronin AOS series.
