The P320 M17 uses Sig Sauer's serialized stainless-steel FCU modular chassis inside a coyote-tan polymer grip module. The stainless slide wears a coyote PVD finish over a carbon steel barrel, matching the military-inspired colorway and configuration. The frame is marked NEWINGTON, NH, USA.
Controls include an ambidextrous manual thumb safety along with internal striker and disconnect safeties. An integral M1913/Picatinny accessory rail is molded into the dust cover for lights or other rail-mounted accessories.
Sight configuration is a tritium 3-dot system with a tritium front dot and a tritium rear sight mounted on a removable plate; sight radius is about 6.6 in. The slide also includes a removable rear-sight and optic cover plate.
