Zbrojovka Brno vz. 24 Persian Contract Model 1309 8mm Mauser Bolt-Action Rifle, Farsi Marked
This interwar Zbrojovka Brno Persian-contract vz. 24 features the Model 1309 Farsi receiver inscription and Farsi-numbered tangent ladder rear sight. Built on a large-ring Mauser 98-type receiver and chambered in 8mm Mauser, it brings together Brno manufacture with Persian-specific markings and configuration details valued by collectors.
Condition
Overall Condition: Good condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling.
Bore Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.
Bore Rifling: Good Rifling - Intact, well-defined lands and grooves.
Specific Condition Notes: The bolt is a replacement and not original to the rifle. The front sight hood is missing. Several wooden panels over the top of the rifle are missing, and the upper handguard is absent. There are light signs of wear and handling with some surface scratches.

Made in Czechoslovakia during the interwar period, this rifle uses a large-ring Mauser 98-type receiver with a straight bolt handle. It is chambered in 8mm Mauser and feeds from an internal 5-round fixed magazine with a hinged floorplate, designed for stripper-clip loading.
Persian-contract features include the Farsi receiver inscription marked Model 1309 and a tangent ladder rear sight with Farsi range numerals. The front sight is the inverted-V post flanked by protective ears; the front sight hood is not present.
The full-length hardwood stock has a right-side sling slot, a bolt takedown disk, and a steel buttplate. Two barrel bands and a bayonet lug are fitted. Length of pull is 13.0.
The buttstock serial does not match the receiver, and the bolt is not original. The upper handguard is absent.
