Built in Le Claire, Iowa, this Les Baer Custom Ultimate Master 5-inch .45 ACP is a competition-oriented, full-size 1911 with a Baer match barrel and stainless match bushing. It carries Les Baer’s factory 3-inch at 50 yards accuracy guarantee (with optional 1.5-inch guarantee) and is equipped with LBC low-mount, fully adjustable rear sights and a green fiber-optic front. The pistol comes with two 7-round magazines and a certificate of authenticity.

The Ultimate Master is a full-size steel 1911 configured for precise shooting. It uses a Baer match barrel paired with a stainless match bushing and a GI-style short guide rod with a checkered recoil spring plug. Les Baer’s published accuracy guarantee is 3 inches at 50 yards, with an optional 1.5-inch guarantee available from the factory.
Sighting is handled by an LBC low-mount fully adjustable rear sight with a click elevation knob and a dovetailed green fiber-optic front. The slide is cut with front and rear cocking serrations, a serrated top rib, and a serrated rear face, with a lowered and flared ejection port for reliable ejection. The finish presents two-tone brushed flats with matte rounds.
The frame is set up for control and comfort, including a beavertail grip safety, a single-sided thumb safety, and a left-side magazine release. A lightened three-hole trigger and a skeletonized commander-style hammer complement the competition-focused setup. The front strap checkering and flat checkered mainspring housing provide secure purchase, and the high undercut at the trigger guard promotes a consistent grip.
